Fruit Trees



Fruit Trees bear edible fruit and is mainly seasonal depending on the variety planted.

Fruit Trees do not have to be confined to large orchids, many people like to pot some specimens to add some decoration to their gardens.

Orange Joppa


Suited to light, fertile, free draining soils in full sun.  Water generously by deep soaking over hot months.  Frost tolerant. 

Lychee


Best in warm climates with a cool Winter and a dry Autumn.  Young trees cannot withstand conditions -2C.  Best in fertile free draining soils in a site protected from strong wind. 

Honey Murcott

 


Honey Murcott is a mandarin type.  The fruit is large with a firm skin which peels easily.  The fruit matures around October and is honey sweet when properly ripe.

Fertilise in Spring and Autumn.  Do not allow to dry out while fruit is setting.
